Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial College of Education was established in the year 2003 at Dhudike (Moga), the birth place of Sher-e-Punjab, the great freedom fighter of India, Lala Lajpat Rai. So the college has the eternal blessings of such an eminent educationist. It is run by dedicated and high spirited members of “Shri Guru Nanak Dev Educational Society, Moga.”
The society has immensely contributed for rural upliftment through education since its very inception. The L.L.R.M. College of Education is situated in a peaceful and natural surroundings of rural India, the college is hardly 1.2 kms. from Ajitwal on Ludhiana-Ferozepur highway. Hence the college serves the nation by catering to the needs of the rural population which form a major chunk out of the total population of India.
The college is permanently affiliated to Punjab University, Chandigarh and recognized by National Council of Teacher Education, Jaipur. The college has also applied for recognition under UGC Act 2(f) and 12B. The college started its first academic session in year 2003-04 under a learned and devoted Management. An epitome of simplicity, honesty, dedication, a teacher and an administrator par excellence – Dr. (Mrs.) Tripta Sharma is the founder Principal of Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial College of Education. Under her dynamic leadership, the college has progressed by leaps and bounds and has completed six successful sessions and has stepped for the seventh one.
The college has a decent campus with all the modern infrastructure, well equipped library, laboratories and latest technological instruments. Under the dynamic administration and supervision of such an able Principal, well qualified staff and an innovative and effective teaching learning environment, the college has grown tremendously in every sphere be it academic, co-curricular activities, sports or in introducing new concepts and methodologies to revolutionize the quality of teacher education.
