Library and Reading Room

Library

The college has a well stocked library with a library hall of seating capacity of 50 students at a time. The library has an open access facility.  More than 13000 books are available in the library, and about 16 magazines, in addition to 42 journals on various topics and 9 news papers are regularly subscribed to. In order to enrich the library, every year a number of valuable books on different topics of study are purchased. The library is computerized with internet facility. Reading Room The library has a separate reading room with seating capacity of 8 students. The library has a balanced collection of books on different subjects. Library has a good book bank facility for poor and needy students. Laboratories  Psychology Lab. Psychology Laboratory has 97 tests and 7 apparatuses along with a good number of reference books in research and educational psychology. The institute motivates its faculty, alumni and its students to under take research. Computer Lab. College has a computer laboratory with 13 computers. The laboratory  is equipped with internet connection facilities, scanning and printing facilities. The laboratory is looked after by a qualified teaching assistant who also provides technical support to students.. Language Lab. To deal with the linguistic problems of the students and to develop effective communication skills among student teachers, the college has a well equipped language laboratory with 24 student units. Student teachers of language teaching creates different language games along with practicing different language skills. E.T. Lab. Educational Technology  lab is well furnished and equipped with Computers, Over Head Projectors, LCD, DVD player, Cd’s, TV, Digital camera, Sound system. These equipments are used in the teaching – learning Process. Social Study Lab. S.St laboratory has globe, maps models, charts, transparencies, flash Cards. Science Lab. A Science Laboratory is established in the college which has all the required equipments for conducting Science experiments and projects. The equipments and materials are loaned out for the use of the student-teachers in their practice teaching. Home Craft Room and Home Science Lab. Multipurpose Hall A multipurpose hall is for organizing various functions, seminars, workshops and other activities. It is equipped with sound system and LCD for presentations. It has a seating capacity of 300 persons. Other Facilities  Hostel There are separate hostels for girls and boys. Girls hostel is within the college campus and boys hostel is 1.5 km away from the college campus. Comfortable accommodation is provided in both the hostels. Proper health and hygiene facilities are given to the students in the hostels. Sports and games facilities are also provided to the students. There are spacious rooms with almirahs and adequate furniture. In addition to these mess facility, dinning room,warden’s room, common room with T.V., visitors room are also there.   Transport Though the college is in the rural area, still daily commutation has been made convenient for the staff and students through regular bus service provided by the college from different cities.   College Magazine A college magazine is the mirror of college life. The essential purpose of Prapti is to inform, engage, inspire and entertain a diverse readership- including alumni, faculty, staff, students & parents- by presenting an intimate, timely and honest portrait of the college- its people, its programs, its history, its challenges, its resources and its mission. Health Centre College has a Health Centre which takes care of the health of students, faculty and non-teaching staff. A visiting doctor is there for medical assistant. Canteen College canteen provides facility of hygienic food to day - scholars and boarders. There is plan to extend the canteen. Common Room There are separate common rooms for boys and girls. Playgrounds Track for athletics, Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Badminton and Kho-Kho  grounds are available in the college campus. Water Coolers There are two water coolers with aqua guard for safe and pure drinking water. Generator College has a generator for power backup. Internet Facility For Staff & Students Reprography
